I love, love, LOVE Stella! Thanks so much for this interesting conversation. I’ve heard her speak a few times and she is excellent, I really enjoyed this.

She brings sanity and compassion to the table and has so much experience and knowledge on working with children and young people - we need more like her.

Stella has repeatedly campaigned against Self-ID yet she has no issue of doing this when it suits her agenda.

Hearing Stella giggle her way through claiming she had gender dysphoria is surreal. As a transwoman that was actually diagnosed by 3 professionals at age 5, 15, and again at age 24, listening to Stella claim she had the same experience because she "wore pants" and outgrew it is probably the best example of weaponizing her willful ignorance of gender dysphoria. Any ethical psychologist would agree that projection (especially when it is totally undiagnosed and unverified) is irresponsible, dangerous, and reckless.

Gender dysphoria is an acute situation, meaning that the disconnect between mind and body causes measurable distress to the mind and body. Acute distress is not discomfort. Acute distress manifests itself as ulcers, teeth grinding, hair falling out, anxiety induced mental disorders, etc. These are all commonly associated and measurable conditions when a child experiences gender dysphoria. No, it does not mean your child will fall to suicide, but it can mean that you will watch your child suffer as they try to white knuckle their way through life with a mind and body that does not connect. These are the children that need intervention (with therapy, and sometimes medical intervention). Equating this group with the group who "wear pants instead of dresses" is a false equivalency. in science this is simply referred to conflation of ideas and is condemned by any person who has ethics. Anyone can use common sense that says, if a child starts going through puberty and this relieves what you thought was gender dysphoria(as Stella claims), then they never had it. Stella knows this.

I say Stella is willfully ignorant because she knows better. She knows she never had GD and she knows she is using this to manipulate people who listen to her. She probably believes that her broader agenda permits her to make this exaggeration. It's also important to note that she no longer practices psychology, her past experience with transpeople is questionable at best, and she is now a prominent anti-trans activist who has started or been a part of no less than 10 political organizations that have the goal of ending transition services for all transpeople (not an exaggeration), otherwise known as a trans-eliminationist. (See attached link)

By claiming she had GD, the less knowledgeable grant her instant credibility that she never earned. But then, Stella has always colored outside the lines. She has always been quite the colorful character with her charming delivery of her rhetoric. This is on display while she claims that transgirls (age 13-15) are porn induced oppressors of women that have a sexual fetish. (see attached link)

While I support her right to activism and free speech, I condemn her dishonest approach. Most transpeople are honest about how they stand and what they support even in the face of violent oppression, why are so many anti-trans activists dishonest about theirs?
