Congratulations on another great interview. I was interested in what Thom said about the invasion of Ukraine. I once saw a member of US military top brass being interviewed- I forget his name I'm afraid - but he also said that Putin only did what he had been saying for years that he would do. He added that it was Ukraine trying to join NATO that was the key issue, and Russia feeling threatened by that. I always felt it was ill-conceived to make war with Russia, or encourage Ukraine to do so. It was always going to end very badly with mass deaths. I think Jeremy Corbyn said that all wars end with negotiation so why not cut out the war bit and go straight to the negotiation. I'm with him.
