Last year, one of our journalists wrote a piece about an online conservative news and entertainment platform called the Daily Wire, a media company started by Ben Shapiro and Jeremy Boreing back in 2015. As part of our reporting, we pulled all of their public media metrics, and what we found, was astounding, and why we named the piece, “Is Ben Shapiro the most powerful man in news media?”
What was also astounding was the amount of online venom we received after it was published. We lost subscribers...and received LOTS of little love notes that accused us of “platforming evil” and causing “literal violence” through our reporting, and that we needed to stop.
So, after being told to stop, we took a camera crew to Nashville Tennessee to attend one of the Daily Wire’s live events for ourselves, and sit down face to face with some of their loyal fans and followers to ask them questions about topics that divide us the most. Let’s watch what happens next, and we can talk about it on the other side.
Please let us your thoughts... we really want to hear from you.

Wow. Great work Joey! You've done some fabulous stuff and this is one of my favorites. I listen to Ben alot because he is smart, courageous and factual. I don't agree with all his politics or religious beliefs, but he is amazing at cutting through the toxic rhetoric, illuminating truth and engaging in real debate. It is sad to watch tho how many cannot actually meet Ben head to head with real intelligence on so many important issues. I have winced at times witnessing impassioned folks be unable to articulate a convincing arguement with him. They usually have to resort to name calling or vitriolic rants. Very disappointing that so many who have gone up against Ben really don't do their research .
Again, great job. Indeed Shapiro matters a great deal. In my view, he is the only truly intelligent pundit on the right. The rest are for the most part ignorant tin hat sporting fools incapable of independent thought and only capable of vomitiong consevative talking points. As a former Republican but still quite right of center in my views, I agree with a whole helluva lot of what Shapiro has to say. But I'm a True Thirty subscriber and not a Daily Wire subscriber.
